Dutch diorama's 1/72 scale

This stuff is not new, but I keep adding to my collection of 1940 Fokker's like the 3 DXXI's; all from different kitsuppliers; the back one is the old FROG kit, and more than 25 years old, center is Matchbox, and upfront is MPM

A touch of picture imaging, and it becomes alive.. well almost..

Welkom! Prachtig werk met die D.XXI's, geeft een veel betere indruk dan een los model. De foto is misschien leuk om na te bouwen als diorama. Het is de G.1 307 welke op Texel "verstopt" werd bij een boerderij, ik heb nog een ongebouwd mpm model liggen van de G.1. Als je daarmee deze foto nabouwd mag je hem voor niets hebben, laat het maar ff weten.
De foto is gescanned uit het boek "illusies en incidenten", als iemand een betere afdruk heeft dan hoor ik het graag!

Welcome! That was a nice job with the D.XXIs, it gives a much better impresion than only a single model at a shelf. Perhaps it is nice to build a diorama of this photo. It is the G.1 307 at the island Texel that was "hide" by a farm not far from the airfield. I have an unbuild mpm kit. If you are willing to use it to build a diorama of this photo, you can have it. Just let me know. The photo is scanned from the book "Illusies en incidenten", if someone has a beter scan I'll be pleased to know!

just dont ask me me to finish it before new year... somewhere in 2008 would be ok...
I have built the MPM model as well, and ignored all the remarks about skewed tailbooms; I think it looks quite decent..
The Olive drab cammo on 341 comes from a similar picture of 345 in the famous Dutch Camouflage & Insignia bible..
According to this reference there were also all brown G1 Wasps.
Only later I discovered a pic of 341 with three tone cammo..in your reference.
These were G1 b's taken off the export lines for Spain and pressed into service.
I modified cowlings and oil coolers to represent the MPM model as G1b with Wasp engines..

I'll build your MPM according to your wishes, and in line with the pic; maybe the Texel museum has more pictures of this setup..

Na jaaaaren de verloren gewaande foto's weer teruggevonden vandaag, dus mijn oude post maar weer aangevuld, na 12 jaar.. :happy: da's toch een heel stuk mensenleven dat achter je ligt. de liefde voor de hobby is er nog steeds.
@Matthieu: Het bouwen van de G1 die je me destijds toestuurde is nog altijd niet gebeurd Matthieu, ik heb hem nog altijd, andere projecten kwamen tussen door, onder andere een diorama van een 1/72 Luftwaffeveld in bezet Nederland (staat inmiddels in vld Deelen) maar vrijwel alle spullen liggen nog in de opslag na verhuizing drie jaar geleden ..
Toch gaat het er nog eens van komen; er zijn nog een Koolhoven, en twee D XXI' s bijgekomen, plus een TV en G1 in vacuform die ik van Wilko Jonker (inmiddels overleden) heb overgenomen. Ik schilder dan alle modellen overnieuw, in de juiste tonen..
