It was decide that camouflage would be used to hide the Lockheed Air Terminal (now Bob Hope Airport). During the operation scenic designers, painters, art directors, landscape artists, animators, carpenters, lighting experts and prop men from movie studios in Hollywood, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Universal Pictures and others worked on the field. The end result was a peaceful rural area with some prop cars and houses. Have a look.
