Have you ever heard of Spruce Creek, if not have a look at one of the biggest pilot communities in the world. Spruce Creek comprises of 5,000 residents, 1,300 homes and 700 hangars. There is also an 18-hole golf course, several flying clubs, rental aircraft and flight training, and 24-hour patrolled security. Most importantly there is a 4,000-by-150-foot runway built by the US Navy during WWll and it can take almost anything, these days it would be much more expensive to build a runways with such quality. And the community surely uses that quality, because it not only consist of Cessnas and Pipers there you could find such greats like the P-51 Mustang, several L-39 Albatros, an Eclipse 500, a French Fouga Magister and even one Russian MiG-15 fighter jet. Not to mention the cars or the people that drive them are as much famous as the planes. Anyone from there or been there?
