Converted to Block D Nov 1998, also had Towed Decoy System fitted.
Assigned to 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD.
On Aug. 19, 2013 destroyed when it crashed near Broadus, Montana during a routine training mission from Ellsworth Air Force Base, All four crew members ejected safely and landed with minor injuries.

Hallo Daan,
Die B-1 bleek achteraf wat te lang voor mijn fototoestel.
Bij de B-2 had ik helaas geen betere mogelijkheid, de betere plaatsen verderop waren lang van te voren bezet, het stond er zwart van de mensen.
Op de onderste foto van de B-2 ziet men om de zoveel meter een "oppasser" staan die het publiek in de gaten houden, waarschijnlijk om voorkomen dat al te enthousiaste spotters over de hekken klimmen.

80-1081 (Article 081) Built as TR-1A, Oct 1985 Transferred to 9th WG, August 1991 Reconfigured as U-2S, Oct 1996.
English Electric Canberra PR.9 XH168/AD, 39(1PRU)Sqn RAF
Written off (damaged beyond repair) 08/09/2003: XH168 aircraft suffered a landing accident, bursting both main wheel tyres on touchdown at Marham. The starboard undercarriage leg parted company with the wing and the aircraft departed the right-hand side of the runway, eventually stopping some 800-1000 yards from the approach end piano keys. The crew both climbed out and walked away, no more than shaken.
Repairs were not completed, due to the planned withdrawl from service of the Canberra PR.9 in June 2006, and XH168 was spares recovered during February 2005. The airframe was then put up for disposal, and scrapped on site.

Helaas geen beste foto, dat ding stond erg ongelukkig geparkeerd evenals die auto's.
Maar het geeft in iedergeval een beetje een beeld wat daar allemaal te zien was en van de enorme drukte die daar heerstte.
